I am totally out of the 'health care' industry. Let me tell you a few reasons why. Just a few.
I was working as a PCA here for a while, in my state. And, in this state you can work for someone privately, but still you would only make about 8 -9 dollars an hour, if that after taxes and so on. It's all paid for by Medicaid or the welfare office or whatever bullshit office does this sort of thing.
Mind you, the people I worked for did not take good care of themselves, at all. Ever.
I realize having problems can be quite depressing however, smoking cig after cig, and bottle of soda after soda, and coffee, and terrible foods, this can only make matters worse and can never be helpful.
Now, I realize nobody is perfect and people have their vices but honestly, there are some days I can't get a coffee or put ten bucks worth of gas in my car, and these folks just spend whatever they have like it's no big deal. I, on the other hand have no health care, cannot get any as the prices are FUCKING INSANE for the average person.
So, let's pay for them to ruin even more of their health by fucking smoking a million cigarettes and letting them eat fucking junk that's actually proven to be terrible for health and let's pay for that, and deny healthy people that actually give a fuck -- because that makes so much sense for my state, to spend the taxpayer money this way.
Some folks may say I'm mean. Why? Because I'm telling the truth?- That's what makes me mean? Ok. I'm mean.
Now let me just quote you a price from the last time I visited a doctor. It was in total, about $800.
Perhaps a little more. I had a broken bone. I had to go to hospital, not because I wanted to but when you break shit, you probably should have it looked at.
The time before that, I had an ingrown toenail. The first one I ever had. Painful thing, it was. Went to the doctor, big mistake. Over $1200 for that one day. I might have been there both times for under half hour. And, because they fucking seared my toe open and gave me a shot, it was considered 'surgery'. You following me? So, needless to say for the past two years I have about 6 g worth of medical bills and still unable to see a doctor, because I have no insurance. They red flag your name here, so that when you call you will be transferred to the payment office to pay, and if you can't you don't see anyone.
Please tell me how health reform is about actual health and not about money?
Next, after working at 'health clubs' and giving that a go, I find the same places welcome those with health insurance, and give them special offers and discounts. All at the same time denying you, the one who sells the sales, and works it so these people in charge can make money, deny you of that same thing. Shouldn't those who talk the talk, walk the fucking walk? - And, they honestly don't care about you. They just care if you pay. It's all sales.
And you know I get it, there are business sides to everything, people are running a business.
But when health is a business, isn't in their best interests to keep you miserable and sick, fat and stupid?
It sells more, and gains repeat customers. And if that doesn't work, wait til you see the bill! If you don't have heart disease yet, the stress of it will give you some!
And if you think taking care of your mouth is any cheaper, think again.
Having no dental insurance means I will be paying out of pocket for that too. I really need to go as I've avoided it due to lack of money to spend on that, but finally, I made an appointment with a local place.
First time appointments cost $298 dollars. For the cleaning, xray, and a finger up my asshole, (joking) almost $300.
I have to take my daughter too. So, that's more than $600 after taxes for two people to get a routine dental.
I'm thinking of selling a few of my household items or my right hand to have her wisdom teeth out, as she might need that.....
So, it's about health right? The health of whom? The average person?- The healthy person? Or the health of a system that basically requires you to be sick in the first place? A sick system of complete bullshit and red tape and has nothing to do with health. And, if you don't pay it because you don't have the money in the first place, the IRS will come and take your fucking tax return and fine you.
I'm very angry. I tried to help folks but alas a lot of them didn't even want the help.
I'm trying to help you now by coming forward and letting you know you should really be paying, and that's paying attention to anything involving your 'health'. Cuz it ain't about you, your health, or anything else, it's only about your money.
If this doesn't make you angry at least a little bit, you should probably check to see if you still have a pulse.
Just saying.
